Mary-Anne Schmitz

This love affair for gardening planted its seed many years ago.  It began as a child while growing up among 11 siblings.  My refuge became the vast outdoors along with the art of creating a different world through drawing and painting.  Although our yard was not the Garden of Eden, its natural beauty led my imagination to run wild.

My first major experience with plants consisted of planting tree seedlings in the great wilderness of Northern Quebec. As a concrete stepping stone to greater things, my love for tamer gardening flourished during my time with Artistic, working among the vast perennial fields.  It was then when I realized the marriage of nature and art which has been my labor and love for over 25 years.

As your landscape designer, my goal is to extend your living space from inside to outside, making your house a home and bringing the joy of gardening into your lives.
